Baked Oatmeal
Overview
Easy baked oatmeal
Ingredients
- 3 cups Oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup milk(or nut/oatmilk)
- 2 eggs
- 1 apple cut to 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 tsp vanilla(or use vanilla flavored milk)
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a large bowl, Mix dry ingredients and mix until combined (Oats, Brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, salt, pepper)
- In a separate bowl, Mix wet ingredients and mix until egg yolks are fully combined (Milk, Eggs, apple, vanilla, maple syrup)
- Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined
- Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil, bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and remove the foil, return to oven and switch the oven to broil for 2 minutes on high or until crust reaches desired crisp.
- Remove from oven cover with foil and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve in bowl with a splash of milk.
